Tian Min, Chinese consul-general in Rio de Janeiro Huang Yehua, chairman of the Brazil-China Center for Innovation in Science and Technology Henrique da Nóbrega, president of the Brazil-China Friendship Association, and representatives from various sectors attended the event. Tian said China-Brazil relations are going through one of their best moments in history, with a partnership that extends beyond trade to include culture, technology, sustainable development and international political coordination. Huang highlighted the importance of stable and sustainable bilateral ties amid growing global uncertainties, noting that the two countries could further explore cooperation in innovation and economic development. Nóbrega stated the Brazil-China Friendship Association will continue to serve as a bridge to promote exchanges and mutual understanding between the two peoples. The event was also supported by the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province. Two Chinese chefs prepared a selection of Chaoshan-style Cantonese dishes, adding a cultural touch to the celebration.
